FDFC Youth’s U16’s squad have had a very busy March as the team have had a friendly against Brighton U 17’s Learning Squad and two tournaments at Feltham Community College one of them being an Ability Counts Tournament.

On the 4th March Brighton and Hove learning squad came down to the FFC Training Ground and played an 8 a side friendly. The Brighton squad outshone on the day scouring 6 goals to our 1, it was a good day for the U 16’s squad even though they where out beaten as the U 16’s gelled together ready for their next venture which was friendly tournament at Feltham on the 11th March.

At Feltham Community College came down to the grind between Fulham FC Community Sports Trust U16’s Learning Squad and the Hearing Impaired Fulham FC Community Sports Trust Centre of Excellence Squads. The Learning Squad knocked them off the leaders post by two points. The contest was a close one and the team played really well, they have really come on and their game plan of passing and finding space just superb.

The big event which occurred on Sunday 25th March at Feltham Community College was the Surrey Ability Counts tournament; this was the tournaments of all tournaments. The seven players who turned up on the day had a very nerve racking 1st game, finally settling into their game plan and coming out right winners of the tournament. Well Done Lads and big congratulations goes to Tommy Hobson for scoring his first two goals.

Now that Easter is approaching the Centre of Excellence training will be on hold for the next 3 weeks. The next event is the Berkshire Ability Counts Tournament which has now been moved to the 23rd June.
