Nick Beese, Fulham DFC Club Captain, GB International, was interviewed on the upcoming EDF Challenge Cup Final. Here’s what Nick had to say for himself.

Club Captain Nick Beese speaks:

Next up is the EDF Challenge Cup Final against St John Arsenal DFC, which will be held at Bishop Stortford FC on 18th May, kicking off at 3pm. London and National rivals St John Arsenal dumped us out of the British Deaf Cup Quarter Finals in January, beating us 3-0, in a game that saw us struggle to impose ourselves and find our usual rhythm and shape.

We are blessed to be given the opportunity to avenge revenge from the most painful defeat of the season at the end of the season, in what is also our quest to win the EDF Challenge Cup for the first time. We opted not participate in the competition since 2003-04, when we lost 5-0 against Doncaster College DFC in the final.

It is undoubtedly one of the biggest games in the history of Fulham DFC, to win will see us finish the season with two cups in the bag, plus the DHC Kortrijk International Club Tournament Cup, which was won in March.

It is important that all 1st Team players turn up to train twice a week, and keep themselves in the best possible shape for the final, which will be the last game of the season before the summer break.
