The Valentine Project was an idea formulated between Nick Beese and former FDFC star Bim Ajadi over lunch in the White City BBC canteen four years ago.

Four years later on the 25th February 2012 at the Roebuck Pub in Borough the idea came to life, with the evening commencing with a blind date competition with our lucky man Ross having the pick of three lovely girls – Premi Pushpalingham, Camilla Willis and Victoria Wenman.

Ross and the lucky winner Victoria were whisked away for a sexy champagne and ice-cream date at the nearby Trinity Pub, they were filmed and interviewed by Lilli Risner at the end of their date.

Whilst the winners were flirting over some champagne, the audience were treated to a burlesque show by the one and only Millie Dollar!

We also had an impromptu blind date with Sarah McCrea and four guys, Steven Wynne, Daniel Hogan, Daniel Rumney and Oliver Manoocheri. The lucky winner was Oliver – they retreated to a quiet corner of the pub and had a date.

The competition, champagne date and interview was screened to everyone at the pub at the end of the night much to everyone’s amusement!

A big thank you to everyone who came, and a special thanks to Bim Ajadi for having the balls to bring the crazy idea to life and delivering such a slick and professional video on the night! Thanks also to Michael Robinson and the staff at the The Roebuck pub for being generous and amazing hosts.

A big thanks to all the blind date contestants for taking part!

We wish the blind date winners Ross and Victoria and Sarah and Oliver a lifetime of love and happiness together!
