Fulham 4 Leeds DFC 0 – Whites march onto the Semi–Finals
Shyloh Morally struck twice to send Fulham through to the British Deaf
Cup Semi Finals, keeping the whites on track to defend the British Deaf Cup.
Bryan Moore scored first with a tap in, finishing off good phase of
pass and move football which ripped the Leeds defence open with the final pass coming from Ben Lampert. Ben
Lampert added one before half time with a swirling cross that caught out
the Leeds keeper, bouncing off his fluffed clearance into the empty
The first half was a poor show from Fulham, who could not find each other or the usual rhythm. Leeds did their best to disrupt Fulham with a spirited display, showing great potential for the future with a very young squad with some talented individuals.
Fulham came out in the second half, and put on a slightly improved performance though were disrupted by the withdrawals of Man of the Match John Docker who is now out for up to 2 months with a dislocated bone in his shoulder and Ireland striker Bryan Moore, who suffered a recurrence of his hamstring injury and could be out for up to a month.
Shyloh Morally stepped up to make amends for his misses in the first half to slot one past the Leeds keeper coolly after being put through to be one and one, and with ten minutes to play Shyloh made a clever run to lose the his marker and tap in from a low cross from Ben Lampert, putting the tie out of reach from Leeds.
Fulham will now face the winner of Glasgow Deaf Athletic and Everton, at Doncaster College. In the other quarter finals, Doncaster who have re-entered the competition after a two year absence take on last years beaten finalists in Belfast on February 3rd. Fellow Londoners St John Arsenal face Whitley Bay at home in London on January 27th.

Back in the Kingston & District Football League Division 2, league leaders Esher United and Wandsworth Town both dropped two points, thus throwing a lifeline to FDFC, enable us to put ourselves back in contention for promotion with a game in hand.
