Congratulations to the Fulham DFC GB Women’s football stars who have come home from the Deaflympics with a bronze medal!

Fulham DFC GB Stars: Premi Pushpalingham, Gemma Sanders, Jessica Pert, Victoria Wenman, Rebecca East O’Keefe, Damaris Cooke, Sarah Page, Mandy Tobin, Pembe Alp, Louise Hogan.

GB beat Poland to the bronze medal on the final day of the Deaflympics. With the score still locked at 1-1 after extra time, the medal had to be decided by penalties and the girls kept their cool from the spot converting 4, whilst Poland could only find the net twice. The final result was Great Britain 1 – 1 Poland (AET) with Great Britain winning 4-2 on penalties.

Great Britain brought home 5 medals and came 32nd out of 91 countries.  It is evident that the Fulham DFC women played a huge part in powering GB Women to their BRONZE medal!  We are so proud of every one of them.
