This season has been far by the most successful for the club since it was formed in 2003. Winning what was a very strongly competed league, going unbeaten itself is a phenomenal achievement and one we should all be incredibly proud of. We must remember that this was done in a league we had just got promoted into after coming fourth in the KDFL Division Two in 2006-07.

Looking back over the season, there have been several games in which we have shown incredible character and passion to grind out wins when being a goal down or with a weakened squad, as we have rarely had the same team every week thanks to a high number of injuries and work commitments and so on, it has indeed been an immense squad effort, with everyone playing a part and fighting for the cause.

The biggest win of the season has to be the 2-0 away win over then title rivals Wandsworth Town, who were also unbeaten and odds on to win the title at the time. To see our depleted squad defeat a team high on confidence, while suffering some of the worst violence I have ever seen in my life on a pitch showed how far we have come as a team, as a few years ago we would have rolled over and conceded defeat. The outstanding discipline shown by us in not retaliating and staying focused on the job of defeating them to put us in contention for promotion was what won the game, and the title.

Special praise has go to manager Ayad Sarraf for the dedication and effort he has put in this season, he was presented with a new availability, selection, tactical headache every week and was able to keep delivering the goods by making the most of whatever he had. We are blessed to have such a passionate and experienced manager at the helm, Ayad lives for Fulham DFC. With him in charge I can see the club making more history and climbing new heights.

I salut you all, this is a season never to be forgotten. Let’s move the bar up and make an impact in the Premier Division next season.
